DJ Supreme

Behind this group was Nick Dresti, a house and electropop DJ, producer and singer. Born in Paris and raised in England. Enjoyed chart success with his hip house project DJ Supreme in the 1990s. Under the name Space Cowboy, he started releasing electropop in the late 2000s and became the personal DJ for Lady Gaga.

Aztecca

This wonderful eurotrack was produced in 1996 by the tiny label Liqiudisc (also known for producing Get Wet) located in Tomelilla, Sweden. Aztecca are Cristhian, Emelie, Elin, Daniel & Daniel. Recorded at the Digirec Sound Studio for Liquidisc, produced by Rikard and Niclas. Music by Daniel and Daniel with lyrics by Danijela. Raps done by Cristhian & Daniel with vocals by Emelie & Elin. The same year, a white label EP called Show Me was released in Germany. It contained 3 songs: Show Me, No Fears and Rhythm Is A Dance. There was also a complete 18-tracks album.

Texture

According to their biography published by their records company, SAIFAM Publishing Group, the commercial house music was for Texture the best sound to get the public. They were born in 1990 and they began the training by singing and playing famous international house-covers in discotheques and clubs. The live performances allowed them to create their own music and style. This long and lucky adventure helped the band to gather the ideas and the sound of its first record. The members of this group from Italy are Matahari, Selenia, Gigi Cerin, Danny Milano.

2nd Nature

This project from the Netherlands is produced by Ruud van Rijen. The name of the performer is Gilly-Mac aka Gilbert Themen. The single Crazy World was composed and written by Ruud Van Rijen, Gilbert Themen and Jim Soulier, who also did the backing vocals. The E & M Club Mix was done by Ege Van Kruysdjik and Marcel Theunissen (producers of the Egma project). The single also includes a B-side entitled Play The Game (composed by Ruud Van Reijen, Gilbert Themen and Stay C), which was released one year before under the name RVR.

BKS (Canada) comes from the producers' team names : Hernie Bekker - Greg Kavanagh - Chris Sheppard. They describe their music as Techno-House, anyway some of their release are very nice eurodance tracks.

Cappella

Cappella (Italy) is not a band formed just a few years ago : its inception dates back to 1975. Only at that time, the name was different : The Cappella-Project. It started as a group of song-writers that created songs for other artists. Like the well-known Let's All Chant (Move Your Body) performed by the group Go... Cappella is mostly the creation of producer Gianfranco Bortolotti. Undoubtedly influenced by Motown's assembly-line aesthetic, Bortolotti coordinated the work of longtime producers team of DJ Professor, Mauro Picotto AKA R.A.F. and Pierre Feroldi AKA DJ Pierre to create dozens of European club/chart hits under the aliases Cappella, 49ers, Fargetta, R.A.F., Club House and East Side Beat.

Brooklyn Bounce

This techno project (Germany) was created by the two producers, remixers and DJs Matthias Menck and Dennis 'Double M' Bohn (aka DJ Bonebreaker) from Hamburg. Matthias is a qualified audio engineer, operating in his own studio. Dennis is resident DJ at the Kontor, one of the Hamburg's hottest house clubs. It was during a DJ job in the Traxx club in Hamburg that Matthias met Dennis, who was working there as a light jockey. The single Get Ready To Bounce debuted at #6 at the beginning of May 1997. It went #95 in the USA, #20 in Sweden, #20 in Finland, #21 in Switzerland, and #16 in Denmark.

Daddy DJ

Daddy DJ is a French dance project created in 2000 by David Le Roy, Jean-Christophe Belval and Charly Merkiled. Their first single Daddy DJ, released in December 2000, was a huge hit in France. It remained # 2 in the charts for 6 months. 1 million CDs were sold in France. The videoclip is a cartoon that tells the story of a little boy that would like to mix in the parties just like his daddy.

Sannie Charlotte Carlson (the name Whigfield is a tribute to Mrs. Whigfield, her piano teacher) was born on 11th of April 1970 in Skaelskar (Denmark). Her single "Saturday Night" became the summer smash hit of 1994, thanks to extensive play in the clubs of the Mediterranean and the fact that it had a dance which many found easy to learn.

André Tanneberger, who stands behing the ATB project, was born on the 26th Febuary 1973 in Freiberg (Germany). The real break-through for Andre was the track 9 PM (Till I Come), released in 1998 under Kontor records. The success was huge all over the world, the single was even # 1 in Israel.

Gala

Gala was born and grew up in Milan. Her name was inspired by Salvador Dali's wife's name, and at the same time by the famous Russian dancer Gala Ulanova. Gala was awarded the best female artist of 1996 by the official monthly magazine Musique et Disques, the best pop-dance artist of 1996 in France, where she sold almost 2 million copies (a diamond record)

Reel 2 Real

Reel 2 Real (USA) is a house music and reggae-influenced duo which had seven Top 10 hits on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in the 1990s. The duo's core member is producer and DJ Erick Morillo from New York City, who spent a portion of his childhood living in Colombia and also in Union City, New Jersey. The first release as Reel 2 Real was The New Anthem which spent a week at No. 1 in 1992.

Paradisio

It started in Belgium around 1993 when Patrick Samoy and Luc Rigaux better known as The Unity Mixers (aka Unity Power) were deeply impressed by the outstanding voice of a Spanish girl named Marisa Isabel Garcia Asensio. Marisa was born in Malaga, Spain, but currently resides in Belgium. Their second single Bailando sold worldwide over 1.000.000 copies in less than a year and 5.000.000 throughout the years.

T-Spoon

Behind T-Spoon (Netherlands) stands Prince Peration (Dutch Remy de Groot), the founder and one of the driving forces behind T-Spoon. The co-producers were Dominic Sas and Serge Ramaekers (famous for their projects Confetti's and Cartouche). On stage T-Spoon consisted of 4 people : a female vocalist (Ingrid Simons, Jean Shy, Blonde, then Linda Estelle) and a male rapper (Shamrock, replaced in 1998 by Greg Dillard, then in 2001 by King Lover), and the two dancers Regilio and Anatevka

Daisy Dee

Desiree Rollocks (better known as Daisy Dee) is a singer, actress and TV host, especially well-known in the German-speaking world. Born on Curaçao, Netherlands Antilles, on September 4, 1970, she came to Europe at the age of 8. Her mother is from the Netherlands and her father is half African, half Spanish. Apart from her mother tongue Dutch, she learned to speak English, German and Spanish fluently. She used to live in Roermond, the Netherlands, where she has a small boutique with street wear clothes. Today, she still loves to design clothes.

Zhi-Vago

Zhi-Vago is a German dreamhouse project consisting of the producers Claudio Mangione and Gottfried Engels (who also stands behind the project Bellini). They started with a track called With Or Without You, a cover version of the U2-song. But the U2 management forbade the version, considering there should not be a dance version of this song.

The first succesful single was Celebrate the Love with vocals of Joan Wilson. It included a Radio version, an Over the clouds mix and a Club mix. It was released under the Edel sub-label Gang Go Music. A Remix Edition followed.

2 Eivissa

Eurodance project created by German-based production crew Team 33. Most tracks were written and produced by Ambrogio Crotti, Luigi Ricco (real name Luis Rodriguez) and David Lacera. Originally fronted by singers Terri Bjerre along with Melannie Molinnus on the first album, they were replaced by Jobel (Lian Ross) as vocalist from mid-1999 on. However, the live act was fronted by Jane & Francine (aka 2 Blond Bandits) until 2000.

Scatman John

John Paul Larkin (March 13, 1942 – December 3, 1999), better known by his stage name Scatman John, was an American jazz musician and singer who created a fusion of scat singing and dance music, best known for his 1994 hit "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)".
